OraclesOpen Source ProjectOverview
Charli3 is built by developers, for developers.

This open-source release represents the culmination of over three years of production-grade oracle infrastructure development on Cardano. These repositories contain the V3 implementations of Charli3’s native Push and Pull oracle solutions, which have been actively serving the ecosystem on mainnet since October 2022 with 99.99999%+ uptime.

Community-Driven Development

This work is not the effort of a single team alone. It reflects sustained collaboration, peer review, and architectural guidance from some of the most respected engineering teams in the Cardano ecosystem — including (but not limited to):

Plank Labs
MLabs
TxPipe
Metalamp

In recent years, Charli3 has also worked closely with Steelswap to integrate direct decentralized exchange (DEX) data, leveraging our open-source MIT-licensed Dendrite solution to bring on-chain liquidity data directly into oracle feeds.

Contributor Ecosystem

The Charli3 codebase carries the fingerprints of a much broader group of contributors as well. Over the years, many extremely talented engineers have contributed to these systems — some of whom have gone on to build impactful projects such as Hydrozoa, while others have moved into different ecosystems entirely. We are deeply grateful for their work and continued support.

While it is not possible to list everyone individually, it is fair to say that 15+ of the top developers in the Cardano ecosystem have directly contributed to the design, implementation, auditing, and operational success of these oracle solutions.

Our Philosophy

From 2022 through 2025, Charli3 intentionally spent less than 1% of resources on marketing, with over 99% dedicated to engineering, infrastructure, and directly supporting projects using our services. This runs counter to common trends in the blockchain industry, where visibility often takes precedence over long-term reliability.

Our approach has always been different. We do not engage in social media disputes, defend against misinformation campaigns, or compete for attention. Instead, we focus on:

  • Quiet building
  • Operational reliability
  • Supporting teams who depend on our infrastructure

Within the Cardano ecosystem, many builders and teams are familiar with this approach — and with Charli3’s history. For newcomers whose exposure may be limited to social media narratives, our work and contributions may not yet be fully visible.

An Invitation to the Community

These repositories are an invitation.

They offer a transparent view into our engineering standards, architectural decisions, and the systems that have quietly powered production applications for years. We hope that by open-sourcing this work, developers can better understand not just what we’ve built — but how and why we build.

Production-Ready Systems

These systems are:

  • Battle-tested, not experimental — Over three years in production
  • Audited twice — By CertiK and Anastasia Labs
  • Used in production — By real applications securing real value

Trusted Cardano-native projects have used — or continue to use — Charli3 data feeds in production environments, including:

Book
NEWM
Fluid
Moneta
Palm
Talos Agent
Apex Fusion
Hosky
Babysnek

Community Funding

Charli3 itself is a community-funded project. Development was made possible through:

  • Community funding through Cardstarter in 2021
  • Multiple Catalyst-funded initiatives

We have never received funding or financial support from Cardano founding entities. From the beginning, this has been a community-supported and community-driven effort — and open-sourcing this work is our way of returning that value.

Project Catalyst Details

We are releasing our solutions under OSS open sourcing as a deliverable for a Project Catalyst Fund14 project.

Oracle Solutions

Push Oracle V3

The Push Oracle V3 solution is designed for operator-driven data publication, where oracle operators push validated data on-chain for consumption by smart contracts and decentralized applications.

Ideal for:

  • Periodic and scheduled data feeds
  • System-wide reference data
  • High-availability oracle networks

License Rationale

Charli3 uses a combination of OSI-approved open-source licenses, primarily AGPL-3.0 and MIT, depending on the role of each repository within the ecosystem.

AGPL-3.0

Applied to protocol-critical components where reciprocal openness is necessary to protect shared infrastructure, token holders, and the broader ecosystem.

MIT

Used for tooling, SDKs, and supporting components to promote broad adoption, flexibility, and ease of integration.

This licensing approach balances openness with responsibility and reflects Charli3’s long-term commitment to sustainable, community-aligned infrastructure.

Our Commitment

These repositories represent the first truly Cardano-native Push and Pull oracle systems, serving the ecosystem continuously for over three years without major incident — a level of reliability that remains rare across the broader blockchain industry, even among market leaders.

Our Goals

By open-sourcing this work, we hope to:

  1. Empower developers to build secure, data-driven applications
  2. Lower barriers to oracle adoption
  3. Enable the community to extend and improve upon a proven foundation

Looking Forward

Charli3 is not stopping service, nor are we slowing development. This open-source release is a natural step in scaling our infrastructure and empowering the community. As we expand toward our upcoming partnerchain architecture, we remain committed to Cardano and to building systems that developers can trust.

To the Cardano Community

Thank you.

Your support has sustained us through years of development, modest salaries, and continuous reinvestment into the protocol. We hope this code speaks for itself and reflects the care, resilience, and belief we have in this ecosystem.

Let’s continue building together.
